A combination of action selection and tile-laying that feels very unique, definitely wouldn't mind more plays of this in the next few weeks. Quite an underrated Feld game, surprised to see it has such a well done version in the workshop. Scripting: Medium – scripted setup + turn order management It is however a very opaque game, so I don't know if I would recommend playing on TTS unless one or two players are very familiar with the rules and can teach well. You really have to know the rules well, but this worked fine on TTS, amazing game each time I play, second only to Pax Pamir (First Edition) in my top Pax games. I like deck building games where you can really tailor your deck to your play style, and Viscounts seems to deliver. Definitely a nice way to try it out ahead of the retail release. I like Viscounts for the take of deck building, and the gameplay translates pretty well on TTS. Probably the best of the West Kingdom trilogy (didn't care for Architects, but enjoyed Paladins).
It takes a bit to get used to placing the meeples on the tile correctly, but the fact that it calculates the scoring automatically is quite amazing. I was so shocked at how well done this version is, and including all the expansions is insane. Such a unique game and every play of this turns out so differently. One of my favourite games of last year, glad it see it has a great TTS implementation. Additionally it calculates your score for you at the end of the game (with a little surprise). Your file and energy limit is also automated and displayed very well on the player board. Very very well done mod, setup and refresh is automated and there are some nice improvements like a button to draw randomly from the dispenser. Scripting: High – setup, refresh and calculated scores The automated setup is nice, and when you deliver to Kansas City there is a tile market refresh button which is very handy.
Scripting: Medium - setup and tile/card refreshĪmazing game and a great expansion. Definitely give the expansion elements a try if you haven't, the modules integrate seamlessly with very few additional rules. The auto calculation of the scores as you place tiles is a very nice touch and you can easily see how you are doing compared to other players. Great tile-laying game and nice implementation, and includes the grizzly tiles and monorail modules from the expansion. As always if you like a game make sure to buy it to support the designers and publishers. I'm also noting the amount of scripting, but all the games listed are complete experiences even without being 'fully' scripted. Never played any TTS games before this time, but have been quite impressed at how well done some of these are.
